Monte Pisano, a little treasure between Pisa and Lucca, received for the second consecutive year the award for the TOP 100 Green Destinations in the World.

During the ITACA, Festival Responsible Tourism, MontePisano in Tuscany, DMC Montepisano received for the second consecutive year the award for the TOP 100 Green Destinations in the World.

The award celebrates the destinations which offer tourist proposals that are considered responsible and sustainable.

155 candidacies from 57 countries were evaluated by the experts of the Sustainable Green Destination Top 100 Team organization and by the members of the special Top 100 Selection Panel (which consists of over 60 experts of sustainable tourism).

In order to put forward a candidacy, it was necessary to comply with fifteen criteria which demonstrated  sustainability as a tourist destination in line with the tradition of local communities, respecting tourists and local stakeholders.

DMC Montepisano with its Network of enterprises took part in the competition and obtained this award.

Another opportunity for our community to obtain more visibility for our beautiful territory.

This is another small step towards a global touristic image for our destination, that year after year, thanks to the work of DMC and all the stakeholders, which actively collaborate with our reality, is gaining visibility.
