5 “instagrammable” spots!

Share the post!

With summer finally here (even though this year the weather is playing some tricks on us!) we can make the most of the ideal climate for taking photos: the right temperature, the right clouds, the right wind.

But where are the most instagrammable spots of Montepisano? We have scouted out five, but we know that there are many, many more….where do you go for your perfect pictures?

1. The views from Parco del Migliarino, San Rossore, Massaciuccoli

This park offers wonderful views and, if you’re lucky, you could meet some animals wandering around the park.

You can visit the park on foot, by bike or by carriage. We suggest you go in the afternoon and wait until sunset, when the light filtering through the trees creates a magical atmosphere.

2. Lovers’ bench on Monte Serra

Lovers’ bench is on Monte Serra (Calci) and it is an unmissable occasion for a great photo: both in summer and winter, this spot is ideal for spectacular sunsets and if the sky is limpid the view stretches out to the sea and the islands.
If you have time we also suggest to continue the path up hill to Santallago.

3. Vicopisano and Torre del Brunelleschi

This medieval hamlet, with the tower designed by the Florentine architect Filippo Brunelleschi, offers wonderful photo opportunities through the winding streets that lead to the tower.

The surrounding countryside is not bad either!

4. Alle Parole D’Oro – Guamo

Leaving Lucca, following the arches of the aqueduct, you arrive at the Little Temple of Guamo, also known as Alle Parole d’Oro (at the golden words) for the writings on the small bridge near the temple.

You can find many charming shots here, whilst enjoying a relaxing walk through nature.

5. The suspension bridge at Massaciuccoli

We’re finishing off our list with Massaciuccoli, which, with its suspension bridge, is one of our favourite spots, an oasis of peace and tranquility.

Spend an afternoon exploring the Roman ruins (right next to the road that leads down to the lake), the Lake and the enchanting views. Also the Torre del Lago side offers breathtaking views. It’s really worth a visit!

Travelling is my constant passion and companion, in addition to sports, motorbikes and good food. I am an ex-chef and, after years spent in the kitchen, I decided to reinvent myself and to study Tourism and Marketing, which led me to Montepisano Store. I hope you enjoy reading my experiences, because they are authentic and first-hand.
