
TRAMES project
8 Smart Ways – itineraries of excellence based on innovative and current themes including sustainability, creative tourism, active involvement of local communities and entrepreneurs – 7 Intercultural Dialogue Festivals and one videogame dedicated to the ancient Phoenician routes: these are the objectives of the TRAMES project, co-financed by the European Union and based on the creation of new tourist products in five Mediterranean countries (Italy, Malta, Cyprus, Greece and Spain) through innovative promotion strategies. The main objective of the initiative is the revitalization of the EU destinations, deseasonalisation and implementation of sustainable tourist offers.
The Smart Ways
Itineraries of excellence in which local communities are at the center of the tourist offer, with the aim of promoting the cultural and natural heritage and the added value of hospitality and tradition. In order to create the Smart Ways, innovative methods based on creativity, participation of local communities, use of new technologies and interpretation of heritage will be exploited.
Intercultural Dialogue Festival
The Intercultural Dialogue Festival will be a model to increase the international visibility of destinations by sharing good practices and promoting the shared values of Mediterranean cultures. The aim of the Festival is to strengthen cooperation between the creative and tourist sectors and to enhance the visibility of the transnational tourism products by promoting the diversification of the tourism offer.
Videogame Mediterranean
Mediterranean will be an edutainment tool at the service of the territories. The videogame will Involve the player at an emotional intellectual level. Following rigorous scientific and technical bases, the videogame spreads knowledge of the destinations and their heritage. In fact, the main value of this tool lies in its power to deliver information on the destination at a global scale, increasing their attractiveness and promoting their real identity.

The project is coordinated by Timesis s.r.l. – Montepisano DMC (IT) SMEs active in the field of management and monitoring of projects and tourism incoming agency, partnered with La Rotta dei Fenici (IT), Cultural Route of the Council of Europe, Edizioni Plein Air (IT), publisher of the tourist monthly magazine PleinAir, Autonomous City of Melilla (SP), local authority, Top Kinisis (CY), tour operator, EGA Entertainment Game Apps (UK), video game development company, Inizjamed (MT), Cultural Association and Chamber of Commerce of Xanthi (GR) .
